Light It Up, Pinterest Style
Steps:
- Draw out your proposed plan on the back of the canvas in pencil. I really liked the design of the original image, so I tried to place my lights in a similar pattern.
- Start making holes with your paper piercer. I quickly realized that it was a multi-step process in that I first made a hole with the piercer. Then I took the end of a light and punched it through the hole, making it a tiny bit bigger. That allowed me to take the other fatter end of the piercer and make a big hole.
- Put a little glue around the hole.
- Push the light through and hold for a few seconds before letting go. Do this over and over and over until you have your desired pattern.
- Once you’re all done, use the super scientific method of securing the back with pieces of duct tape. Surprisingly, they won’t show through the front, even with black duct tape.
DIY that inspires.
Just so I don’t forget…
Letssssss go!
I’m not one for resolutions, mainly because I’ve broken almost everyone that I’ve ever made. But here I’m wishing for an amazing 2012. A year where I’ll finish 17 years of schooling (not including preschool), and get a full-time job. Where I’ll wear a graduation gown once more and hopefully my the end, figure out what I want to do with my life.
Cheers to a New Year, and a New Day!
(via PROOF that the earth is only 6000 years old)
This leaves me with only one question. What will I do once I have neither scripture nor science to back me up?
Can you see the fallacy in this argument?
… There were not 6 billion people on the Earth 6000 years ago. -.-‘
Instead of studying for finals, I’ve been planning a trip to Asia this summer with D. The plan is Seoul (D wants to go), Taipei (I want to go), Hong Kong (we both want to go), Phuket (D saw pictures of people attending a Muay Thai training camp and wants to go). We might throw in Tokyo and Singapore, since we’ll kinda be in the area, and honestly, what are we going to do in Hong Kong for 2 weeks. Family’s gotta go to work yo!
But yeah, I’m going to have the best post-grad trip ever! But I still need to get through finals, job hunting, and another semester. Maybe this will be an incentive to work hard!
Street Art of the Day: An anonymous culture jammer tagged up an unidentified Bank of America branch with clever Occupy Wall Street-themed corporate slogans that might as well be part of an actual BoA marketing campaign.

Pretty cool. This is gonna take us a while to do … we have over 8,000 posts. Kinda curious as to what it’s going to say.

Life-Altering Cookie Bowl of the Day: Muffin tins are great for making muffins, but thinking outside the tin can be pretty rewarding.
Introducing: Cookie Bowls.
Just follow these “somewhat easy” instructions, scoop some ice cream in there — cookie dough, perhaps? — and you’ve just made your life one cookie bowl better.
Oh, and also, “cookie bowl” is now a unit of measure. It measures happiness. It’s the happiest one can be.
